About Pastor Cheeks

Dr. Cheeks is the Senior Pastor of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Odricks Corner, McLean, Virginia. He leads Shiloh with a Christ-centered passion for life transformation and social justice. In addition to serving the local church, Dr. Cheeks served as a Regional Advisor for the Northern Virginia Baptist Association. Also, he serves on the Executive Board of the Northern Virginia Clergy Council for the Prevention of HIV/AIDS, and as the Co-Chair of the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Reform Team with Virginians Organized for Interfaith Community Engagement (V.O.I.C.E.).
 

Dr. Cheeks earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Morgan State University, a Master of Divinity degree from the Howard University School of Divinity (where he was the recipient of the Henry B. Maynard Exegetical Preparation and Preaching Proficiency Award), and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary.
 

Dr. Cheeks is co-author of the bestselling book Fathers Matter and the author of the children's series Nicolas' Big Adventures. He resides in Maryland with his beautiful wife, Min. Constance, and their amazing son, Nicolas Micah.
